How It Works

This digital compass utilizes the built-in magnetometer sensor in your smartphone or tablet. The magnetometer measures the Earth's magnetic field to determine your device's orientation relative to magnetic North. The compass displays your heading in degrees, with 0° representing North. Note that accuracy can be affected by nearby metallic objects or magnetic fields. For best results, you may need to calibrate your device by moving it in a figure-eight pattern.
