How to Estimate Paint Needs
This calculator helps you determine the amount of paint required for your project by calculating the total wall area and subtracting the areas of doors and windows that you don't need to paint. It then accounts for the number of coats you plan to apply and divides by the paint's coverage rate (typically found on the paint can, around 350-400 sq. ft. per gallon). It's always wise to buy a little extra to account for touch-ups and variations in surface texture.
